Scott spent 25 years as a life science banker, prior to venturing into the entrepreneurial world.
Prior to Wellford, he founded and built healthcare and life science companies which have all had a successful exit either through a trade sale or a public listing, including Nasdaq. All the exits generated significant shareholder value. Scott co-founded Wellford based on his puppy, Bozy, whose life was saved by cannabis.

David is a co-founder of Wellford and he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the UK in the mid-90s and then spent the next 15 years in large corporates including a spell as Group Finance Director of a main board listed Plc in London. David joined a buy and build, private equity backed business in 2011 and has been involved with two PE backed businesses that have been exited successfully. With heavy exposure to M&A, banking relationships and building businesses, David brings the rigour to the financial discipline of operations in his role as COO.

Joshua is a co-founder of Wellford, he spent 11 years at Highbridge Capital Management in New York and London, focused on trading and business development for the statistical arbitrage desk.
At Wellford, he oversees the investor relations, marketing & product development of the company.
MD of Therismos UK
Richard has over 20 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry. He started his career at GlaxoSmithKline where he spent more than a decade working across New Product Supply and R&D before moving on to run global operations at Britannia a speciality pharma business.
Richard is responsible for Therismos’ Pharma’s European pre-wholesale business and for the companies UK CBPM business.
Highly experienced FMCG expert and successful chairman, Andrew brings over 30 years of industry experience from previous Directorship and VP roles at P&G. With a successful track record in Sales and Marketing for Health and Beauty, Andrew was appointed as Chairman in 2022. Additional specialist areas include global market knowledge and new geography expansion, strategic account management with retail and pharmacy, and global sales and marketing strategies.
Sir Nigel Knowles is a prominent British solicitor and business leader, currently serving as CEO of DWF Group Plc. Formerly Global Co-Chairman and Senior Partner at DLA Piper, he was instrumental in transforming it into one of the world’s largest law firms. Knighted in 2009 for services to the legal profession, he has also held roles such as High Sheriff of Greater London and Chair of the Sheffield City Region LEP. Sir Nigel brings over four decades of leadership and legal expertise to his work across business and public service.
Chris Sullivan is a seasoned British banking executive with over 40 years of experience at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), where he held several senior positions, including Deputy Group Chief Executive and Chief Executive of the Corporate Banking Division. He played a pivotal role in the bank’s restructuring efforts following the financial crisis. After departing RBS in 2014, Sullivan joined Santander UK to lead its Corporate and Commercial Banking division. Beyond his executive roles, he has served on various boards, including Direct Line Insurance Group and DWF Group, and has been involved with organizations such as the Confederation of British Industry.
Mike Freedman is CEO of Alchemy Media Holdings LLC, a leading U.S. out-of-home advertising company. With over 30 years of experience in media and entrepreneurship, he previously served as CEO of Fuel Outdoor and co-founded Pacific Media, Japan’s largest outdoor media firm. A Harvard graduate, Freedman is also a founding member of AGL, a pioneering U.S. cannabis company, where he helped shape early strategy and operations. His deep understanding of the cannabis market complements his track record of building and scaling businesses in regulated, high-growth industries.
