Why We Evolved Our Flower Portfolio—and What Our Four Categories Mean for Patients and Prescribers

As the medical cannabis sector in the UK grows, patient needs are becoming more diverse, and clinical expectations are becoming more specific. To accommodate these changes our flower portfolio also needed to grow. As a result, we have evolved the way we present our flower range—introducing four clear categories based on cultivation methods: Aqua, Aero, Peak, and Luma.

This structure makes it easier to understand what each type of flower represents, while staying aligned with UK guidelines around how unlicensed medicines can be discussed.

Why the Time Was Right

Patients and prescribers told us the same thing: they wanted a clearer sense of how to navigate different flower types.

Rather than listing individual products or strains, we’ve built a portfolio around growing techniques—because cultivation method influences cannabinoid and terpene expression, microbial profile, and consistency.

This shift helps patients make informed choices with their prescribers, and helps clinicians select the most appropriate type of flower based on patient need—not brand name or marketing.

Our Four Flower Categories

Each category is named after the method used to cultivate the flower. These methods shape how the plant develops and influence factors such as consistent and reliable THC percentages, terpene levels, microbial counts and plant yield.

Aqua

Cultivated using aquaponics, where organic living soil is combined with nutrient-rich water from a closed loop aquaponic system. This method supports plants through natural inputs and avoids the need for irradiation or microbial remediation. It’s part of our craft-focused offering, built on ecological and cultivation integrity.

Aero

Grown using aeroponics—part of our Craft portfolio—where roots are suspended in air and misted with precise nutrient solutions. This technique offers exceptional environmental control, encourages root oxygenation, and supports consistent growth conditions.

Peak

Our indoor category features flower cultivated in fully controlled environments. By tightly managing light, temperature, and nutrients, this method delivers consistent THC percentages, stable terpene profiles, and reliably low microbial counts.

Luma

Flower grown in greenhouse settings, where sunlight supports plant development alongside environmental management. This method offers a balance between natural energy and climate control, making it a more sustainable and affordable growing approach.

Designed for Clarity and Confidence

This evolution isn’t just cosmetic—it’s practical.

  • For patients, it means better understanding of the types of flowers available, and what makes each one different.
  • For prescribers, it makes it easier to explain to the patient how the cannabis was grown—whether aquaponic, aeroponic, indoor, or greenhouse—and why that matters for effect, quality, and price.
  • For partners, it provides a structured framework for planning, education, and consistent access.

Importantly, this structure ensures we stay aligned with UK advertising rules, which do not allow us to promote specific unlicensed products. By focusing on cultivation methods and categories, we’re sharing factual, non-promotional information—making things clearer without crossing regulatory lines.
